“I Am You.” by Yunus Valerian Hentschel

Who am I?  What do I think?

Telling what I am often leaves people being confused, because I am not fitting into their common picture.

I’m telling you now – I am a Muslim.

“You are a Muslim?  Come on!  You don’t look like one!”

You may be interested, surprised, or even shocked, but actually this is good.

I like to confuse people so they may forget about their pictures and their stereotypes and broaden their mind.

What does it mean to me to be a Muslim – being blond-haired and blue-eyed?

It means to give myself to God and by doing this I am opening myself to you.

Whatever I may be or seem to be – it’s just me, just me and therefore…

I am you.
