The Muslim Jewish Conference received some encouraging coverage from the global press. The JTA, which is the press service of the Jewish world, talked to MJC Chairman Ilja Sichrovsky:

“Many people from the establishment of Jewish and Muslim communities are not on the same page on the issue of dialogue,” Sichrovsky, a Viennese Jew, told JTA. “We had big trouble with the Austrian Jewish community when we told them we would not let them steer the conference.” … Sichrovsky… attended a summit of the ROI Community, a global network of Jewish innovators created by the Jewish-American philanthropist Lynn Schusterman.

The MJC also received passing notice from the Jerusalem Post which noted:

The conference will host students, young professionals and emerging leaders – including 46 Muslims, 51 Jews and nine of other faiths – representing an array of professional, civic and political fields… Participants hail from more than 35 countries, among them Afghanistan, Austria, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Macedonia, Mexico, Morocco, Niger, Pakistan, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States.
